Space Planning and Design Direction Project - Milton, ON

Bedroom Reconfiguration & Full Interior Upgrade

This project focused on transforming three under-utilized bedrooms into a more functional and elevated layout by reconfiguring the space into two well-proportioned rooms, including a larger, more impactful primary bedroom.

The original layout felt fragmented and lacked presence. Smaller rooms, outdated parquet flooring, and minimal lighting resulted in spaces that felt disconnected and underwhelming.

A key decision was the removal of a dividing wall to combine two bedrooms into one generous primary suite. This immediately improved flow, scale and overall usability, creating a space that feels intentional rather than constrained.

From there, the update addressed both finish and function. The existing flooring was replaced with a darker, continuous surface to ground the space and create a more cohesive, refined look throughout.

Lighting was also a major upgrade. With no ceiling fixtures originally in place, new overhead lighting was introduced alongside layered bedside lighting to establish proper ambient and functional illumination, significantly improving how the rooms are experienced.

The design direction remained controlled and deliberate. Furniture was scaled to suit the new proportions, layouts were refined for better flow and a restrained palette of warm neutrals and deeper tones was used to add depth while maintaining a clean, elevated feel.

The result is a home that feels more balanced, more functional and far more aligned with how the space should be lived in, with a primary bedroom that now anchors the entire layout.

Kitchen Upgrade - Finish, Function & Visual Impact

This project focused on transforming a dated, underwhelming kitchen into a clean, functional space with a stronger visual presence.

The original kitchen lacked cohesion. Outdated finishes, limited contrast  and minimal detailing resulted in a space that felt flat and visually forgettable. The update was approached with restraint and intention. Rather than a full overhaul, key elements were strategically upgraded to create maximum impact. Cabinetry was refreshed to establish a clean, unified foundation, while new hardware introduced subtle contrast and a more current feel.

A new backsplash was installed to add texture and dimension, creating a focal point that elevates the entire space without overwhelming it. Countertops were simplified and brightened to reflect light and improve the overall sense of openness.

Fixtures were upgraded to more modern, streamlined profiles, improving both function and visual clarity. The result is a kitchen that feels more intentional, more refined and better aligned with contemporary expectations.

The space now reads cleanly, photographs significantly better and presents in a way that supports stronger buyer interest without unnecessary over-investment.

High-Impact, Zero budget Condo Refresh

This project focused on maximizing impact with virtually no budget. Aside from a targeted kitchen refinishing and fresh paint throughout the main living areas, the transformation relied entirely on reworking the homeowner’s existing furnishings and decor.

The strategy was rooted in restraint and intention. Furniture was edited, repositioned, and simplified to improve flow and sight-lines, allowing the natural light and updated finishes to take the lead. In the living and dining areas, layout adjustments created a more cohesive and open feel, while minimizing visual clutter helped the space read as larger and more inviting.

In the kitchen, a clean, modern refinishing elevated the overall tone of the home, creating a strong focal point that balanced the otherwise modest updates. Bedrooms were refined through decluttering and subtle styling to enhance scale, function and market appeal without introducing new elements.

The result is a clear example of how thoughtful editing and spatial awareness can significantly elevate a home, even under strict financial limitations. This project demonstrates that strong presentation is not dependent on budget, but on decision-making.

Powder Room Transformation

This powder room was redesigned to achieve a high-end, vintage-inspired look within a modest budget and accelerated timeline. Rather than a full renovation, the focus was on strategic updates that would deliver maximum visual impact.

A bold feature wall introduces depth and character, while warm brass fixtures and updated lighting elevate the overall feel of the space. Each element was carefully selected to create a cohesive, layered design that feels refined and intentional.

The result is a complete transformation that proves thoughtful design can deliver a luxurious finish, even within tight constraints.
